Melanie Dalton is a clinical psychologist with 25-years of experience using CBT with adolescents with mental health issues in both severe and complex, and private practice settings. She is an Advanced Psychologist at Children’s Health Queensland CYMHS where she is the clinical lead for the CBT-E team, and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the UQ School of Psychology where she has been teaching cognitive behavioural theory and practice to postgraduate clinical psychology students since 2000. Through CYMHS, Melanie has been receiving regular supervision with Dr Riccardo Dalle Grave, the founder of CBT-E for adolescents, for the past three years. She has also received training in CBT-E (adult) by Professor Fairburn in 2007, and in his masterclass in 2016. She has been providing individual supervision in CBT to clinical psychology students and therapists for over 20 years, and enjoys the teaching aspects involved in training professionals in CBT. Supervision style is strategic, structured and educationally informative, using case based discussion, prepared in advance by participants populating provided templates.
