Giuliana is a clinical psychologist and family therapist with over 35 years professional experience in mental health. She has worked in both public and private settings, with children, youth and adults. Giuliana has completed additional training in Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for Anorexia Nervosa and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Enhanced (CBT-E) for eating disorders, focused and broad modalities, for adults as well as young people. 

Giuliana is the former team leader and senior clinician of the Cairns Child and Youth Mental Health Service, where she had introduced the Family Based Treatment for Anorexia in 2005.  She currently works in private practice only, with particular interest in providing evidence-based psychological therapy for complex / comorbid eating disorders presentations, and working collaboratively with youth, adults and their significant others.

Giuliana has provided training and supervision in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders to mental health professionals from a range of disciplines and is a former accredited supervisor for the Psychology Registration and Registrars Training program. She continues to provide clinical and professional supervision to teams and individuals. In supervision, as well as in my clinical practice, Giuliana strives to work collaboratively from a strengths-based model.
