Katryna Henry is a Senior Social Worker at Central Coast Area Health Service with the Eating Disorders Outpatient Service. Katryna has worked in the public mental health sector for over 25 years and in the private sector over the last 7 years as a Mental Health Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor.
Katryna has over 15 years’ experience specialising in the field of Eating Disorders with extensive experience in the assessment and provision of evidence-based practice of Family Based Treatment (FBT) in the outpatient setting, and in particular with complex presentations.
Katryna has provided consultation and supervision to clinicians within the public and private sector since 2017, in particular with children and adolescents and families in the provision of FBT.
Supervision for those new to the field will consolidate their learning from recent training and focus on clinicians building skills and confidence in the delivery of the evidence based practice of Family Based Therapy. Supervision can discuss individual cases or general themes that are identified and discussed in a supportive and reflective framework.
Supervision for those more experienced clinicians will provide a supportive and reflective space for clinicians to discuss and work through the many complexities and challenges they face in providing FBT and to continue to build on their skills and expertise in the field.
All Supervision sessions are flexible and will accommodate the individual needs of each clinician.
Supervision will draw primarily from FBT principles but may draw on Systemic Family Therapy, Adolescent Focused Therapy (AFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy – Enhanced for Adolescents (CBT-E for adolescents) and other approaches relevant to comorbidities.
Availability is on Mondays and Fridays with some flexibility around times.
