Resume

Dr Elaine Tay is a Clinical Psychologist who specialises in the application of general systemic and attachment based frameworks, as well as Maudsley Family Based Therapy (FBT) in the treatment of eating disorders. She has extensive experience working collaboratively with adolescents, their families, and the clinicians supporting them in both Health and private practice settings.

Elaine approaches treatment of complex eating disorder presentations in adolescents and families predominantly holding a Maudsley FBT framework, and integrating formulation driven adjunctive approaches to address treatment barriers. She has a decade of clinical experience including serving as Clinician and Team Lead with the SCHN Eating Disorder Intensive Program for Adolescents, where she managed a team of practitioners to implement the novel 2-week Intensive Program, Day Program and Multi-Family Therapy.

Elaine currently works in a private practice supporting adolescents and families presenting with eating disorders, as well as providing general family therapy, couple therapy and individual therapy. She provides individual and group clinical supervision, with a focus on a warm, reflective and collaborative environment for both new and experienced clinicians to feel supported in their learning and development. Supervision format is guided by learning and development needs of the supervisee, and typically includes a blend of case review, reflective practice, teaching and theoretical input.

Supervision with Elaine can commence from late July.
