Dr Shilpa Madiwale is a Clinical Psychologist and Director of The Mind Body Practice. She has over a decade of experience in eating disorders across the age range. She has been supervising clinicians delivering eating disorders treatments in NSW Health for the past year whilst also supervising clinicians in a private practice setting. She has experience in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders for children and adolescents using Family Based Therapy (FBT) model at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She further developed skills in SSCM and CBT-E in her role as the Eating Disorder Coordinator for the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. In her research she examined motivation to recover in adults diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa. Shilpa enjoys teaching and supervision, and is excited support clinicians to further improve access to effective, evidence-based treatments for people with eating disorders in Australia.
