Sarah Egan

Dr Sarah Egan is a senior clinical psychologist and trainer for Eating Disorders Training Australia. Sarah has trained in working within a developmental framework across the lifespan and has extensive experience working in CAMHS, Early Psychosis, CATT, and the Butterfly Day Eating Disorder Day Program.  Sarah has almost 10 years experience in private practice, much of which has focused on the intensive treatment of young people through to adults and their families with a range of eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, OSFED, ARFID, and sub-clinical disordered eating.  Sarah draws on a number of frameworks in her clinical practice and as a clinical supervisor including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy- Enhanced (CBT-E,) Family Based Therapy (FBT), Adolescent Focused Therapy (AFT), CCSW, CCSM, MANTRA, MI, CREST, DBT and schema therapy.  She has also developed an implemented a treatment program based on intuitive eating principals, HAESⓇ and improvement of body image. She has had extensive experience in training clinicians, eating disorders training, and is an experienced clinical supervisor, assisting clinicians to build confidence and competence in working with teenage and adult clients with eating disorders.  She has strength in helping others understand and make sense of the often-complex work of treating clients with eating disorders and working with systems to motivate change.
