Amanda Davis

Resume

Alongside her clinical work in a statewide eating disorders advisory service, Amanda runs a small private supervision practice (InformED Dietetics). Her dietetic career has been long and varied, but for the past 15yrs she have worked in the public hospital system providing direct clinical care to clients with ED, consulting to health professionals/teams on ED treatment within the public and private arena and developing/reviewing guidelines for ED management.

Amanda’s current focus is provision and facilitation of supervision, and building networks of dietitians working in the ED arena – specifically, the development, evaluation and lead facilitation of the QuEDS facilitated peer group support network (currently providing supervision to >90 dietitians around Qld), chairing the Collaboration of Dietitians in Eating Disorders (COD-ED), and leading the QuEDS Dietitians Annual Masterclass.

Amanda primarily uses a reflective model of individual supervision and a cooperative framework for group supervision. This style is particularly effective for dietitians with some level of clinical experience.

This supervision is well-suited to dietitians working in the public health system providing care to adult inpatients in medical or mental health wards/outpatients/community clients, and dietitians working in private practice settings with adult patients. Amanda also have particular interest in assertive refeeding of medically unstable ED, and management of ARFID and T1D co-morbid with ED.

Dietitians accessing supervision with Amanda will see her for both group and individual supervision sessions, with the individual supervision sessions alternating with the group sessions each (approximately) fortnight.
