Claire Finkelstein

Resume

Claire, a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, loves the privilege of offering supervision. She values supervision as an opportunity to work together to deepen skills and knowledge, express clinical vulnerability in a supportive space, and to collaborate in the process of fostering personal and professional growth to benefit clinicians and their clients.

Claire has a breadth of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan and eating disorder diagnostic spectrum. She has worked in both public and private settings, and provides consultation, training, and assistance with policy development to leading private schools and elite sports organisations. She co-founded Nourish. Nurture. Thrive., a multidisciplinary private practice that specialises in eating disorders and body image concerns in Melbourne, and has just embarked upon a PhD in the area of body image distress.

Claire can provide supervision on a range of evidence-based treatments, including FBT and CBT-E, and is also interested in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) as an adjunct to FBT. She strives to connect with warmth, compassion, and a little well-placed humour with the intention to make supervision a safe and encouraging experience.
